I've touched 20+ 32,33,34,35 GTR's so I will give you some advice. Try buying a NUR spec R34 GTR. Has a stronger block then other GTR models. Little pricier, but worth it. Check under the car at the frame rails cause most GTR owners for some reason jack the car up in the wrong places, bending shit and making the doors shut incorrectly. Nearly stock cars are good, but not always maintenanced well. If you know about aftermarket parts, bolt on parts are a plus for GTR's cause they are expensive. Greddy, HKS, Tomei, Apexi, Jun and Cosworth make great bolt on parts for those cars so look for them. When you do, check on the cleanliness and how neat the product is installed. Are all the bolts alike? Does it look like it fits right. Same goes for interior. If its cut up to fit turbo timers and electronics, they didn't care too much for the value of the car. Make sure no random color wires are being tapped into harnesses and home made looking brackets to hold things up under the hood and under the car. Yes, check under the car. Looks can be deceiving, but if the car is clean from bumper to bumper on a nice day, they obviously care for it. If you're in NZ talk to RIPS. They are one of the best GTR tuner shops in the world.

Hit up Sean Morris on twitter @tyndago or contact him over Nissan GT-R : Since 2007. Sean works at Stillen now and Steve Millen and them should know some reputable shops in NZ.

^This. No one is more knowledgable regarding Skyline/GT-R's than Sean. He is originally from Kiwi-Land and he maintains a large list of contacts on the islands. Steve Millen also still races for Nissan in NZ occasionally, so he has the inside scoop on anyone doing GT-R work down that way.

Like theoretically you can still like tea in there or something, but that's a stupid idea. If you aren't going to smoke tobacco or weed (preferably tobacco, more traditional) than don't smoke hookah at all. A lot of people have decorative hookahs, so just do that.

I've spent about 9 years intensively with skylines. If you have specific questions pm me.
If I were in your shoes though I'd call up Rob from R.I.P.S [http://www.ripsltd.com/] - best guy 4 you and one of the best engine builders in the world for those cars.| Some say_ that he's working on his 3rd million since the first 2 didn't work out.
