Thread: My collection

I've had a few requests from people curious about my cars. So, rather than PM'ing them all around, I'll just make one big thread

I have quite the addiction to Mitsubishi 3000GT's and Dodge Stealth's. I've owned over 100 of them over the years, and between my boyfriend and I, the number is probably somewhere in the 300 range... give or take I have over 100 of them just sitting in pieces on my shelves.


Anyway, I won't delve into the ones I've owned over the years, but these are some of my current drivers, and projects, etc. As well as my boyfriends (These cars are actually how we met, oh so many years ago...)


My every day car, currently has 285k miles on it, 1 of 8 purple Dodge Stealth R/T's produced, and the last year of production. Ye 'ol reliable... we've driven it to NC, Indianapolis, Virginia, it's a true road warrior... and it will be going to a new home this Saturday

Original paint, interior, engine, and transmission as far as we can tell.








Then there's my 1991 Stealth R/T Twin Turbo... with pink parts. This was my dad's car, he bought it after I had told him he wasn't allowed to drive my old 95 3000GT VR4 anymore, and he had to buy his own When he passed away, it was given to me. I have some upgraded turbos that will be going on in the next month or so, when we get a lift free, the stock turbos are smoking pretty badly.

Then there's my 1995 3000GT Spyder. I bought it from ebay a few years back, rebuilt title, it was all smacked up.




I needed a car on the road asap, so we pieced together some body parts we had laying around, gave it a quick spray, and I drove it for the summer looking like this (not really my style, but it worked I guess)






Then it was parked for the winter (CF hood and wheels were sold, and donuts/spare hood were put on until spring when we were going to get some new parts in for it) and I come out one morning to find thi



So, I decide it's time for a complete overhaul, and just have it gutted, widebody, built twin turbo engine (it was originally an automatic FWD N/A gutless wonder), we'll convert it to AWD, and throw a manual transmission in it.







And that's about as far as it got, before our body guy at the time up and quit, and we stuck the car in a corner, and it's just collected dust for the last 3 years. We're hoping to get back to it within the next few months to fix it up finally.

Then we have my yellow 95 VR4. This was a repo-car that we bought, and are currently still having issues obtaining a title, even though we have all the paperwork necessary (supposedly). So, for now, it's a track-only car.

First shake-down dyno pull



We ended up putting down 450 before we had to leave for Indianapolis earlier this summer (the day after that video was taken). Ran it at the track 3 times, blew the engine, and it has a bad VCU in the trans (just spun through second gear)



Now it's sitting at our shop, with a blown engine, needing at least a bottom end rebuild, we'll get around to it eventually, hopefully before next spring.

Then we have our 12,989 mile 1995 3000GT. We bought it from a guy in Queens NY, it was parked behind a house, under a tree, with a tarp over it, since 1998. Still had the New Car inspection sticker on it.

We're about 99% done now, just a few trim pieces to install, and the refinished factory wheels were just done a few days ago.

Then there's my boyfriends 1991 3000GT, that his dad bought brand new in 91, and gave to him when he went to college.

I don't have any way-before pictures, but there really wasn't much too it, it looked pretty much exactly like this:






THen it was flooded over the roof, twice.... then it looked like this:




Gutted it down to the bare frame, power washed it inside and out, dry-ice to get the old sound deadening out, etc.







Started reassembling




Done

So... that wasn't enough though for him... he wanted to do something fun.... (don't mind our drunk neighbor)

Looks like you have a lot of projects on your hands. That black 3000GT is hot.
