Default GTR guru's. Questions for you:)

Just sold my 09 SL65 and looking at a few cars including the GTR. I have driven a stock 09 and liked it a lot.

The car will be a second car and would like to know how much money it takes to get this car into the 9's? Are they still reliable at that point and is the every day driving of it changed at all besides the power?

Are there any options on the new ones or do they all come one way?

What is the most used forum for these cars also?

    Thanks guys...

Are you looking for new or used? To make enough to get in the 9's you're gonna need bigger turbos, more fuel, exhaust plus much more. Once you get into that kind of power you need to star thinking about beefing up the tranny. Of course the bottom end may need to be beefed up as well. You can prolly get into the 9's with a Alpha 9 or similar package. It runs $24k plus installation and does not include building the tranny or bottom end. 1000 AWHP and tthe low 9's reliably could easily cost the price of a nice used 09 GT_R.

uhhh...why do you want a 9sec GTR as a 2nd car? if it was the 10th car in the stable, I wouldn't be asking this question.

I have a 2012 GTR ...0 to 60 in 2.9 stock....if you go to NAGTROC ( GTR owners site) you will see that every thing from fuel pumps to turbos to pistons need to be up graded.... I have owned from vipers to 911 turbos....this car is more than enough stock IMO

It's doable with bolt on turbo kits, its the torque that is the rod killer on these cars that you have to watch out for. 2012 options are just summer/winter tires and back up camera!
