Also, once the GT-R gets out of warranty there will be more being transmissions repaired, parts becoming more plentiful and cheaper, more peeps to work on them. Repair prices will go down.

TheCikaLuxe well this the US price and we know some "ways to" avoid taxes so :] Its easy thing. I think insurance would make some problems with GT-R.
Thanks for all information. We have started some discussions with both BMW and NISSAN dealers here.Disicion time.

Just my .02 on the debate would be this. The only reason that I see that GTRs have not depreciated much so far is that the MSRP on them is about $17,000 more than when they were first released. I believe that has propped up the used GTR market (Made me wish I had bought one of the first ones too
) Once the warranties are gone and they stop raising the MSRP they will see a decent hit. The other item (and one that is less important in this arguement) is what will happen when will the gen 2 GTR is out? That seems like it will have a larger impact on resale due to this being a numbers car. Again, just my thoughts, but also ones that I have been pondering.

The plan should be drive GT-R 2-3 years and then sell with with warranty is ON and the not much km's on it. And then add some own money and buy a new gen and drive it for 3--4 years
Well its a gambling. The problem is that car as many things in life gets old and needs to be changed, more or less often and since it's big money on deck, I would be really unthankful to sell GT-R by price of GOLF :]Disicion time.

Depreciation will be between 40% - 45% but the GTR will suffer less if the miles are kept low. That's just my experience. Have owned them both..
