Smile Picture or my old Custom 1999 3000GT VR4

This was my summer project car this year that I had sold a few weeks back. It was a 1999 VR4 originally black and very hard to find with only 287 made total. I picked it up in New york last year around this time of the year from a guy and it needed a paint job, I drove it home with my dad from NY to Chicago, The started undergoing the process of body work as well as some light modifications to the engine, The color is candy apple blue, Looks like a deep blue/dark purple in the shade and a candy blue in the sun. The paint job took about 1.5 months to complete and everything was painted including the jams but not the engine compartment. The performance consisted of a Custom 3" Dual Exhaust constructed by me and finished off with 2 HKS Hi-Power Cans, HKS Blow Off Valve, HKS Boost Controller, TEIN Coilover suspension, 13G Turbos, 18 PSI Boost, Apexi Computer and to top it off an Alpine sound system. Ive put so much time and effort into this car. It now resides with its new owner in Indiana, If I had the change I would buy this car back instantly.

    Anyway onto the pics....

Nice car! Even though the wing is stock, (and no offence) Whenever I see that wing on any car, it reminds me of a cheese slicer. Almost like you could pick the car up like a toy and use the wing to slice cheese.

Again, nice car and good work on the project!

You have no idea how hard it is to take that car apart. Like the bumpers for example. It takes so damn long, so many screws its unbalievable.
I work in my dads body shop and we just recently repainted one of these. It is red btw, and not the rare edition that you have.

But good find on the car, looks really sweet. And I'm sure you will probably encounter someone who thinks its a Ferrari.

Nice Car. Tasteful Mods. Paint looks like it came out well. I know the wing is big and obnoxious but that's part of what these cars were all about (so i say keep it).
Int he future these cars are gonna be worth some major coin (especially in clean near stock models like this) and the BIG Wing is gonna be part of what makes them soo special.

do your research next time...its the stock wing, and for me the one way to spot a VR4. I used to love this car back in the day. Blue looks great.
