Default Whats maintenance cost on a GTR?

have a g37s now and in new england the rwd just isn't a practical 4 season car. saw a competitively priced gtr with 20k miles on it and was wondering what the upkeep costs are on them such as oil changes and services from some other owners.. I would be slightly stretching my budget to step up so I'm curious what the other costs will set me back

I have a 2010 GT-R. That edmunds article is old and things have changed. The big services are the Transmission and differential fluid changes every 18k. The fluid for the tranny can be had for $55 a quart online. Requires 10 qts. Stock rotors are about $1k each but the ap racing J hooks can be used for half the price. Still expensive though and prolly not a car i'd want to DD.

A lot i looked into getting a gtr and the guy said the oil changes are around $1200.00, a break job is between 6 and 8 grand, and if ur tranny blows good luck its only 27 grand. thats why i got the V so much power and everything is covered.

where you came up with $1200 for an oil change is wild. The fam's F430 runs $600 for the oil change. If Nissan is charging that much, F them!!!! As for the transmission; if you use launch control 6 times, your clutch is gone. If you put the car in race mode when not on a track, you void the warranty.

Yeah and if you use the launch control once it voids the warrantee and its $1000 to reinstate it. You have to have nissan go through it. It is a great car but the maintenance prices are to much, thats what drove me away from it. My friend has a superleggera and he said that is cheeper o maintain.

Good gosh, the s**t is getting deep in here. There were instances in early 09 cars with tranny problems. Most of those cars were launched dozens of times with the 4500 rpm launch control. Most of the cars have been reprogrammed with the 2800 rpm control that is just as fast. People were also launching these cars with VDC off which cannot be done on newer cars. I've only had one oil change done so far and they did it during my car's optimization service while they had the underpanels off and it was around $75.

The transmission service is expensive, like $1200 but that is only every 18k. But the transmission in the GT-R is $23k so i would expect that.
