I can't say that I'm surprised. Wald makes bodykits for passenger vans, for chrissakes. Pretty cool stuff, actually . . .

Seeing a rimmed, kitted and lowered Prius isn't uncommon in Japan.
I remember modifying my Puch moped with a big bore piston kit, carb and pipe in the early 80s — just like the other young gear heads in my neighborhood.

It looks good. But I think some full faced wheels are in order, could help out with the aero dynamics to make up for the increased weight and loss of low resistance tires.
