This is copy/pasted from my post on a different forum posted couple of days ago
Updated version,:
The difference in the cover today is it has the front cutout which chamfers smoothly to meet a CF insert. In the back of the cover, the back wall was also angled.
Tomorrow we will work on cutting out the back slanted wall and putting smooth chamfers on the window to have another CF piece in it. So the Delux model will be done as far as the mock up is concerned, the few coming weeks will be dedicated to perfect all the lines and the quality of the piece before the mold is made. SMS is trying to finish this asap and they are very happy about the enthusiasm that this product has generated.

Salah ( SMS ) slanted the back wall of the cover and when i asked him why he explained that it would be better for the CF to be slanted for a few reasons, mainly to get more light instead of hiding in the shadow and when you pop the hood it would look much better looking straight at you.

.....Continued...
As you can see, the back part of the cover that is now slanted has a CF insert facing you when you pop up the hood. They also chamfered the middle part to match the curves thats going on, and let me tell you guys at close inspection those lines look damn good!
Pics really dont make the cover justice even normal spray paint out of a can it still turned out very well, i can only imagine if it was prepped and painted properly so a perfect mold can be pulled off of it. From what i gathered today at the shop that tomorrow is going to be the first day of final prepping, in other words all the uneven gaps will be sorted, all the chamfers would be the same radius all the way around the cutouts. So from now on its detailing..detailing...detailing... When the masterpiece is complete and the guys at SMS are satisfied with the quality they will go into production.
Here are a few samples that we played around with the spray cans.
linea rossa - which is italian for redline

Silver R

White Might

Vader R - For the glossy black
Shadow R - For the matte black
All the other color combo's will have its designated name.
ps... all top view pics taken with a phone because the cam im using had a large lens just for close ups. When the covers are ready we'll take much better pics.
