I really want to know how he got it in to the states. I've been speaking with quite a few companies who won't even import the cars to the states, even if you're going to title it under R1 for race only purposes. I know how I can title it to drive on the streets, but I'll be damned if anyone will actually sell and ship one over to me.

there a few companies a while back based in CA i believe that did clean imports, but then they went out of business. My dream car is the R34 GTR so i'll definitely need to be able to get it into SoCal when I move there.
Maybe through Canada?? You can find a bunch of them on craigslist/ebay canada and then just import them through there somehow?
I read that importing R34's into canada as of now isn't possible until 2014.
personally i think all these stupid regulation laws and crap need to be done away with.

Skylines in america are only legal if they were done though motorex and before they effed everyone over. Most other stuff they brought in was grandfathered in too but other then that, anything you see is grey market.

They can't be imported because the US has a 25 year law, so only cars that are federalized OR built 25 years ago or earlier can be legally imported. The ones that are here are either through motorex or one of the other importers that used to import cars like the r33 and r34. From what I've heard, r32s can be imported somewhat easily now, r33s require a little bit of work, and r34s are pretty much impossible.
