Hahaha I guess you are determined to swap outside the box. Props to you friend! I'd still say a junker 240 is your best bet to get this build going at a reasonable cost, but then again, what project is ever reasonable?!

yeah...LOL...I do like the 240 idea, and it would be cheapest...but i think I could resell/get out of this project and pocket more money if i do something "nicer"......I thought the $400 280 was a good deal...then i found this jag, with great body (paint and all) and a 100% interior for like $100 more!!.....

my main worrie is the weight ...? it will be slow from a go, but once rolling should be good...( i think)

Fair enough, any off-the-beaten-path swap will require all custom mounts anyhow, so the transplant chassis is sort of irrelevant cost-wise.

    Just for a little content...

"Once with slicks and it ran an 11.20 at 129mph with a best 60' of 1.58. It put down 450hp at 19psi on a dynodynamics dyno and it has enough turbo and fuel system for much more power. I've never pushed it past 19psi.

I know it's still a 240sx, but it's got tons of quality parts and I'm pretty sure you won't find another one like this. I really don't want to part it out! Asking $24,000 as is, $22,000 without wheels. I might be willing to remove some parts to lower the price. Willing to accept partial trades but I need mostly cash.

im sure it could crank out a bunch more power....
