Update!!
UPDATE!!
Thought I'd update you guys that are interested. We just got back from the track a while ago and for those who have followed this thread you know that the GT-R ran its best time of 10.69 @ 132 on pump gas, full weight, and runflats for the pump gas record.
Well today we decided to give the set of DR's and 18 volks a try while leaving everything else the same as the 10.69 pass!
I wish the conditions were a little better...but..
We are still excited with improving our times!!
10.53 @ 133.68 mph!!!
Track temp was about 125-130 Degrees. DA was 2500 at the time of the pass. Not to mention is was a blistering 87 degrees according to the track.
The Bad part is we only got two runs in. The Track was hosting an event all day and into the evening. We were one of the only cars in test and tune.
After being there many hours and not running, the track owner felt bad about not getting us out so he invited us back on the house.
We never had a chance to run the car in the cooler night temps and to play with the tire pressure! It seems like our friend forgot to lower it so it was still at the 30psi that we drove the car down on..
I know the car has a better ET and MPH in it, just got to wait for the right day. After that we'll run the race gas map and see what we can get out of the car before it goes back to AMS for stage 2 of this project.
Slip and video soon.

How are the transmissions holding up with the kind of HP and TQ numbers you guys are posting? What are they rated to?

To answer both questions. It's not savage is is very tame actually compared to when it had LC 1...now with LC 2 it is so much easier on the whole drivetrain that there is no more tranny problems.
How much HP it can hold? Well I don't think were even near what it can hold but collectively a lot of GT-R guys/shops feel around 750 -800 awhp is the level that will give us a lot more knowledge as to how much it can handle. I think the biggest concern is clutch slipping at that Hp level more so than trans. Well we will be there in the not to distant future so I'm sure we will have a lot of info for you all. AMS is very R&D orientated so a Lot of testing before pushing it that far. We tend to be on the conservative side so we'll take it one step at a time.
Lots of fun getting there though!

Were doing an front mount intercooler shortly and a race gas map to see if we can break into the 9's!
