Respect what? The fact that it's a boring hybrid hatchback? The fact that, even as a race car, it's a boring hybrid hatchback? The fact that the CT200h is 10 times the dynamic car the Prius is, and is still a boring hybrid hatchback?

We get it. You like the Prius. I assume you have one and think it's super cool. That's good for you. Stop being a Prius owner and shoving your opinion down our throats. You're doing the exact thing that makes us hate Prius owners.

I don't care for the majority of Japanese cars in terms of styling, but Toyota is the worst and the Prius is on the uglier end of the Toyota spectrum.

Combine that with the smug attitude of a large portion of Prius owners, I'm out. I also don't think a truly educated environmentalist would be driving a Prius.

I personally hate the Prius because of the people who buy them and how they drive. The look just brings more of a downer on it...

1. the car itself : I would say its plain. ever try to drive a Prius in Toyota dealership. the interior quality isnt something that will make us say "Great", driving quality is somewhat plain. its not a bad car (unlike Daihatsu Copen), its actually decent. just decent

2. the driver : all the guys have said. actually some people buy Prii because it have less tax, it also consume less fuel (read: cheaper to operate), but pretend to be eco friendly

I can say that the car is more a victim of its driver, when the car itself isnt a special one compared with RC-Z (this one actually nice)

anyway, Prii is so ugly and deserve a jokes in some degree

but hey, I think Akiruno had a point here. Prius had been bashed all the time since God knows when, why we dont try to see it in more positive light?

I really enjoy that new Lexus that is very Prius like

I read in issue of a magazine(i cant remember the name) that a Prius don't really save much gas at people would think.
The gas that is saved during driving the car's life time is equal to energy used for making the batteries and the process of mining the metals.

^Top Gear also did a segment on the Prius and its batteries a few years ago. Pretty enlightening.
