Get the BRZ and then turbo it.

Buying a car is a difficult and expensive decision, and it's great to seek the feedback and insights of others, but, ultimately, we aren't signing on the dotted line, you are!

We can all go on and on about which car is better, but at the end of the day, you'll be buying it and driving it, so it really doesn't matter what we say, it has to be right for you!

I think you should sit down with your significant other and realistically evaluate what requirements you need and what luxuries you want. I hate to sound like a broken record, but that's my 2 psi...

There are A LOT of great options in the Genesis Coupe/FR-S price range. Like a lot of people have said already it ultimately comes down to what you are really looking for. Just some off the top of my head suggestions that haven't yet been discussed (to make your life a little more difficult, haha):
    E46 M3
    Mazdaspeed 3
    AP2 S2000
    2012 Mustang GT 5.0L
    C5 Corvette Z06
C6 Corvette (although this might be at the upper end of your budget)
    Lancer Evo 8, 9, 10
    STi
All of these are tunable, fun, capable cars in their own right.

    Best of luck to you!

Dude, it's a Hyundai... what do you expect it to feel like? An M6? I mean I know they like to rip off the german cars but c'mon.

Since you're asking for everyone's opinions, I would consider a few of the cars NoBottleJustThrottle listed way before the Genesis or scion. I would co-sign on the E46 M3, S2k, Evo, or STI. All good cars, but you're still gonna be pretty cramped inside 'em. The G37 you were considering isn't a bad option either. I just don't like scion or hyundai. :kill1:

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Again, this is growing to be a far too generalized question. Are you looking to buy new or would you consider pre-owned? As mentioned above, buying used completely changes the situation. The first thing you should do before going even the slightest bit farther is to decide what you really need and what you really want.

What is your price range you're willing to look at? Do you plan on modding it in the future? Is it a DD or just a fun car? Answering those answers will narrow down your choices significantly.
