Are there any art collectors on here? I have several pieces in my house that were imported. I'm not a huge art buff, but I have some decent pieces. The painting below was imported into the U.S. from Germany many years ago. I purchased the piece about 5 years ago, long after It was imported into the U.S. This piece looks like a re-print from the photo, but it's actually an Impasto (a thick textured oil painting). This is a low lighting/crapping picture, but it's one of my FAVORITE paintings in my home. The painters name, you can't see b/c of the crappy picture quality, but it says "R. KLEBES". Any ideas who this is? It's a beautiful painting, but I've never actually heard of the artist. Just thought I'd share this.

Again, crappy cell phone/low lighting picture, but heres what the texturing looks like:

Other than a 600 year old family heirloom, all of my art is either

A. portraits of famous ancestors
B. Lichtenstein Prints
C. AGAM

the rest of my stuff is all drymounted movie posters, flags, and my Billy Dee Williams Colt .45 sign.

Oh, and some of my old buddy's art prints from his art show.

Which artists?

I love art - I've got a number of Wolf Kahn's (according to the artist, I'm the youngest relatively large-scale collector) and recently commissioned a Todd Murphy work. I collect modern art in the sense of time not style, because I like meeting the artists whose works I collect. I find that it makes the purchases much more personal.

I have one by Michael Busselle. I also ironically have a portriat painting of my grandmother from when she was 19! When she passed, my mother told me it was to go to me. I have a few others and will get back later when I can see them

Hey I found you Motorcity Madman! I hope you still visit this site! You wouldn't be Ted Nugent by any chance would you? Haha...I am also from Michigan just outside of Detroit (Livonia) and currently reside just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The reason I wanted to contact you was that I currently have a Bill Mack lifesize bonded sand sculpture "contemplation" and I am trying to find a buyer for it. It was handed down to me from my mother who passed away last year and she left a pretty "heavy duty" tax debt on the house. There was the identical one, number #86 on eBay with a $25,000 price tag and the appraisal on it from his gallery in Minnesota states $40,000. That would relieve the tax bill tremendously! If you or you know of anyone who might be interested I would be willing to let it go for ALOT less and Hell, even deliver it! haha! I have all the documentation for it and could get plenty of pics, tho a smart phone camera doesnt do it justice! Anyways, if you could help out in anyway please get back with me.....My name is Scott. From one Michigander to another, Salute!
