I agree wholeheartedly, its a lifestyle choice, just like wearing a watch of choice.
Ill also state I have spent a good portion of my life in the body modification industry making jewelry for some of the best shops in the nation, so I'm a little biased in my views. I can also guess that It was Alec that did the work on mschrob at STTP in Tucson.
There are the good and bad in every industry, but thru it all, it is no more than choices a person makes. For young individuals I dont condone facial piercings, nor stretching their lobes to large sizes until a professional carreer has been established.
I have my fair share of modifications, from piercing to tattoos, scarification and branding. But also made it a point to keep my personal choices well under cover with a short sleeve shirt. One would never know the work that I have had done.
While body modification is an industry, more extreme forms of body modification are socially accepted, take breast implants and face lifts as prime examples.
Interesting that a forum based on lifestyle has such an aversion to this topic.Last edited by PatP; 01-25-2011 at 05:59 PM.

PatP, not everyone on L4P agrees with most of the posters in this thread. So please understand since I see you are fairly new that you and this topic in my opinion are more than welcome to be here at L4P and I'm sure the Founders of L4P would agree. This forum is very open and nonjudgmental in my opinion and you will soon learn that it is a great family to be a part of.
I for one feel the thread should stay open and to each his own. No one has the right to judge another on what they do with their own body. I myself have never had a piercing but love women that have their nose or lip pierced, it just does something to me.
Like this:

And for the record I have worked for the government for the past 10 years and have seen the change right before my eyes where more and more upper management has piercings and tattoos. And I'm only a block from the White House.Jason

I am going to just go with an assumption here that most of us dont need to see 4 high res pics of a dudes facial piercings. Like I said before I had a PA and there were plenty of girls that wanted to find out what it was all about just from having that. I see nothing wrong with piercings etc as long as they are not to be seen.

Some might say they don't want to see 5 High Res Shots of the same Dodge Viper with some new rims on it; but that doesn't mean the thread should be closed?
All I'm saying is don't object to someone's lifestyle or beliefs just because they aren't your own.

I see no reason why this thread can't exist either. Be a bit more accepting guys, if you don't want to view this thread it's as simple as don't come the hell into it and ask for it to be closed.
I will be honest, I could have done without the initial OP's numerous pics, but that is beside the point.
I've got a pretty serious tattoo that is somewhere in the tattoo thread so no need to repost here, but I have had my fair share of piercings as well.
I still have my nipples pierced (8+ years) as well as my conch done on my right ear, which is pierced 'orbitally'. I had my lobes slightly stretched at one point as well as a few others which are now gone.
That is fvcking dedication right there. I for one could never bring myself to do that. If you guys don't know what he is referring to, google image search it
