    if you want to read/see some crazy s***, pick up the 3rd volume of Russian Criminal Tattoos (first 2 volumes are $$$$ - anyone want to buy them ) some very evil & nihilistic, but ultimately fascinating, ink... not for the easily offended.

    ^^^^^ and just to re-emphasize, NSFW, & *highly* offensive.

    the photos are ok but the real gems are the drawings the inmate guard collected over his lifetime of work in the prison. each drawing in the book is accompanied with an english translation, and sometimes a more in-depth explanation of what the tattoo means.

    these books were the source material for Eastern Promises.
