    Default Greatest Movies . . .

    Let's get a good one going - name your "greatest" movie(s) and why . . .

If you'd like, break it down by genre (e.g., epic, Animated, Western, film noir, mystery, comedy, musical, etc. etc.).

The American Film Institute's Top 100 of all time is here:

    AFI: 10 Top 10

I agree with some (e.g., "The Searchers" as Best Western), but "2001: A Space Odyssey" as best Sci-Fi?!!? ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Chime In!

Bullit - DEFINITELY for the often-copied chase seen (although a movie with Roy Scheider called "The Seven Ups" had a great one; "French Connection" is the other - maybe a separate thread altogether) . . .

Good call - Jimmy Stewart (and Claude Rains) at their best . . . if only it could be like that today!
