if you have ever seen serbian film or the first human centipede they are truly disgusting but free speech should prevail.
i saw them both, serbian film unedited was a hard one to take, very distuerbing in so many ways.

While I trumpet free speech, I respect the right of the UK to make these decisions. I don't even disagree with them banning this particular movie.
I do believe they miss the point of this kind of horror, though.
The fear comes from the dehumanizing, objectification. The sheer terror that you are no longer seen as another human being. That no moral appeal, plea, or even scream will buy you a moment's respite from the horror. In fact, it might increase the savagery.
That being said, the real fears of public influence by such a powerful combination of concepts and imagery is what I believe the institution was designed to protect from.Si vis pacem, para bellum.
