I used to live right accross from a $2 movie theatre that shows them after they have been out a while. One day I saw that Battle: LA was playing there. I thought, what the hell, it looked decent in the previews lets go see it. It was on my top 5 worst movies I have ever seen. Later that night I went over to a friends house. I said, "I just saw one of the worst movies that I have ever seen". Before I could say anything more he said, "Was it Battlefield: LA?" Ha ha we just couldn't stop laughing that the movie was so bad that he pulled it out of thin air.

Battleship looks like it could easily go either way. At least it has a good cast. That can do quite a bit for a so so movie.

I'm pretty lenient on rating movies, I love a lot but most are okay and not bad and it's very hard for me to say I hated it and it was completely horrible and I want my time and money back, very few movies have made me feel this way and Battle: LA did it, f*CK THAT MOVIE!

I think you're both talking about two different movies.

I think he is talking about Battlefield Earth, which is a truly, awesomely, horribly terrible movie that wrecked an otherwise great story. It also killed Travolta's career for a minute there.

Battle: Los Angeles was actually pretty good IMO. It wasn't great, but I enjoyed it. Then again, I love movies like that. Aliens mixed with some USMC BAMFs mixed with some nobility/courage stuff.

I should also say I watched Skyline twice. It is a bad movie, but enjoyable if you can shut your brain down.

As far as Battleship is concerned, the premise is a pretty intriguing way to explore the board game as a movie plot. It has Liam Neeson, which could be awesome. But it also has Channing Tatum (Who I enjoyed in GI Joe, but hated pretty much everything else...yes, I know, I liked GI Joe, kill me now. I actually can't wait for the sequel) who sucks at acting for the most part.

I thought the ordinance from the alien vessels looking like the pegs was funny as hell tho.

im not really sure how aliens and humans fighting have ANYTHING to do with the board game.

on that note, im a sucker for these movies so ill see it, and i thought battle: LA was awesome. skyline on the other hand was entertaining, but now all that good.

Yes, I am about to take this discussion further afield: Skyline did, in fact, sling parrot sh**. monkey + football
