Anyone know if Lucas Films and/or ILM in S.F. has an inernship?
My daughter has just gotten back from Philadelphia Univ. after her 2nd year, majoring in Digital Animation.
We'd love to get her into an intern program at one of the big 3 here in the Bay Area: Pixar, Dreamworks or Lucas Film/ILM (I'd prefer she not go over the GGB @ $6 toll costs)
Does anyone here have any specific contacts at any of them whom she can submit her 'resume' to? She has never worked in any company before but she does have a portfolio. We warned her that internship does not pay any money and she understands that fully.
Thanks in advance with any help or advice you can give on this.2005 Factory Five MkIII Roadster

I could give it a try via ASW if you like. Worked wonders for me with my recent venture.

id search around the studio's website, even in the normal 'Jobs' page they sometimes post internships
also, consider getting in touch with a recruiter for the company, i usually hit the staff page to find someone to contact

There are 2 members on here that work at Pixar.
I'm sure they could be of great help."Whatever you're thinking, think bigger." - Tony Hsieh

Thanks for the replies. I'll dig around ASW.
Funny, I was at the DreamWorks SKG site and while reviewing the Internship jobs, I went over to the "regular" paying jobs and found something I could fit right into (IT related, not animation) so I applied!!!!
You never know. I could use a new job. The one at Stanford Univ. is still a big unknown (the bigger dream job) but this one could get me out of the stuff I'm doing now (easy but boring.)2005 Factory Five MkIII Roadster

There are 4 of the Pixar crew on here. All great guys, and long time Members. I'm sure they'll surface in here eventually.
Good luck to your daughter. If she gets in to Pixar, I'll be EXTREMELY jealous.

Best of luck, as it's quite late in the year to be applying for summer internships. Many of these positions are filled in March/April.
