Need For Speed: The Run

It’s called The Run. An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York. No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world’s most notorious drivers on the country’s most dangerous roads. In Need for Speed The Run, you’ll weave through dense urban centers, rocket down icy mountain passes and navigate narrow canyons at breakneck speeds, all the while evading a relentless police force prepared – and willing – to use lethal force to take you down.
PLATFORMS: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii, Nintendo 3DS
I don't understand why they'd make something like this after Shift 2. Oh well, atleast it has real cities.

i ALWAYS wait for racing games to come out before i purchase, i thought shift was going to be the reincarnation of a great series but it was straight track style, need for speed was meant to be fast and the furious style stuff
they need to examine games like midnight club and top em', stop trying to add some mindless new exciting idea sometimes and hit on the old style

looks... interesting? its hard to tell what a game will be like without seeing a gameplay trailer or review. they're always fun to play to play with some friends though

This is what, the third game in 6 months or so that they've put the NFS name on? They need to slow it down and focus on producing a game that's fun to play for more than 3 hours and that doesn't have as many flaws as their latest games.

I realize that, just bought Shift 2 and although it's entertaining, I'm a bit disappointed. They changed the driving physics yet again from Shift 1 which were already okay. Still arcade style but without being on Gran Turismo level or even Forza for that matter. With Shift 2 you have to spend a majority of the game setting cars up just to get them to drive around corners without dying. No matter what they do, they'll never be able to compete with either FM or GT. Therefore they need to stop trying and focus time into one solid game. I have been playing the new Hot pursuit, and although it's got it's flaws, it's still fun to play. BUT, I beat the game in literally a few hours of playing. At $60 a game, it's a waste. Oh and not to mention all of the glitches and bugs with Shift 2 right off the bat. I realize that has to do with the maker of the game and not the actual NFS name but it just shows the lack of time and effort being put into the game and the need to get a crappy game out faster to try to make money. /rant
