Ever wondered if some movies were filmed in your neighborhood?

BoxOfficeQuant, a site about statistics and film, has taken the top 2,000 films from 1910-2010 according to IMDB, and fed their locations into a Google Map. In total the map shows 9,736 locations from the 2,000 films.

You can zoom in on the map found here and see what was filmed near you.

They filmed A Stir of Echoes like a block from my house.
I was there when they were filming the part where it's raining and there in the car.
It was pretty cool. I got to meet Kevin Bacon.

Clooney was in my town last week.

A lot by my house. They used the 210 freeway before it was officially opened for Transformers.

That's pretty cool. Great find! 2 Fast 2 Furious was filmed right by me in Boca. I had no idea.

Uncle Buck, Home Alone, Home Alone 3 and Planes, Trains & Automobiles...all within 5 miles of my place. If I expand to Chicago then it adds plenty lol

Punisher War Zone and a Spike TV show called Blue Mountain State were filmed in my old College.
This list is not really complete as tons of movies were filmed in my area and also downtown Montreal.

I do remember when Wayne's World was filmed across the street from my High School. Can't forget Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure just a city over as well.

Haha, didn't realize Transformers had some filmed at Tinker AFB in OKC.
