Thread: Top Gear US

Horrible first episode!! They have no emotion about the cars, it feels like car and driver television, NOT top gear!

its the first episode guys, chemistry takes year of building, just look at the first episodes of the original top gear, brutal stuff, hell they even cancelled it at one point... Its just gonna take time.

Now to be honest this was not a good first episode. It wasnt smooth.. But it did show some sparks of it having potential.. Buzz Aldrin as the first guess was just horrible. Tanner is a TV and car pro, the other guys will need to find their own AMERICAN niche

Just looked at it and I dident really like it to be honest. Just dident fit the name "Top Gear". If it would be another show title then maybe, but if you put the name Top Gear on something its raises the bar very high and some might be disapointed when seeing this episode. Maybe it will get better over time......

Disappointed.

Not a fan. Stig looks like it's Tanner too.

Ehh, its ok so far but atleast its a car show for the us we have like none. and since its sponsored by the car companies they cant be brutal about the bad parts about the car, like the EU top gear is publicly funded they could say what ever they would like about the car.

Disappointed with the cast. I thought it was the original show being broadcasted here. At least the cars were great.

I thought it was okay, some parts i did burst out laughing but I hate how tanner is the only experienced one.

When they did the high speed test the heavy set guy launched the sv like poop and shifted early, and the other guy was like scared as he was climbing to 180, also was getting jerked like a rag doll each shift like he had no idea a lambo superlegerra shift was that going to be rough

A little souless. I dont think they will be able to ever live up to the uk guys. I really wish they didnt use the top gear name, too much to live up to.
