I was just having this conversation with my buddy this morning about what a shitty start to the season it was last night. I think the producers just don't get it. Do they really think we want a softer, more cuddly Ari who has a heart to heart with Drama about his career, acts nice to E, and gets punked by the director of Vince's movie?! Each of those scenes had such potential but... nothing! We don't care to watch Vince shoot movie scenes. Give us some fast cars, hot chicks (tits anyone?), and some hilarious dialogue between Ari and everyone else and we're good.

I like seeing Ari act more human or "cuddly" around the gang. He has always claimed that Vinny is his favorite client and "the only one he cares about" and the gang has all been working with him and palling around with him for years. So IMO Ari acting somewhat normal to the gang is perfectly good character development. Him bitching out on the director, not so much.

I liked last night's episode. Although it was not the most eventful or exciting episode we have seen, there were some subtle changes that lead me to believe that the characters and the overall story are back on track.

Can't wait for #2.

I think everything will be cleared up by the next episode, WHICH STARTS IN 2 WEEKS due to July 4th weekend!! AHHHHHH!!!! I think the producers might just be setting up all the plots. Regardless, cant wait till the next episode!!
