TV Series Royal Pains
Saw the series premiere and I have to say the concept is intriguing, the acting was a lot better than expected and I'd like to see where the show goes from here - I'm thinking more fabulously wealthy clients with more and more outrageous "issues"
Your thoughts?

I felt the exact same way. Suprisingly well acted by the main guy... the comic relief brother is just okay.
I personally think it could be a hit show I just dont know how many freak medical diagnosis' can be handled in a single season. Shows like this I find will have a tough time in the long run.
Still I was impressed by the first ep

Nutshell:
NY hotshot doctor gets blacklisted from all the major hospitals he can work at. Goes on a weekend in the Hamptons winds up at a party where a girl gets sick, he saves the girl and becomes known as the new "concierge" doctor of the Hamptons... against his will. All the rich people now want to use him as their personal doctors for their parties etc. and he finds he can make a good living doing it.

Anyone remember the main actor's first series "Good Morning Miami" or something like that. That show sucked. The other kid was in Joey's failed show. This one looks a bit better.

I hope the show does well. In a way, it's strikingly similar to another hit USA Network show: Burn Notice.... guy loses job, ends up in completely different area, still uses his skills to help while working to get his life back together.
Speculation time: will El Doctor ever get un-blacklisted? Will the accountant-brother act better throughout the series (I think it's doubtful since methinks he's there for comic relief)? Will he get back together with his ex-fiancé when she is inevitably reintroduced into his life later in the show or will he find true love with the "poor-man's" hospital administrator?
