    Default Dark Knight Rises Discussion

Warning: This thread is for people that have seen the movie, spoilers may be included below

Just got home from the midnight release (some of us never grow up) and all I can say is holy sh!t! I'm still not entirely sure what to think of it, not because it was bad, because it was such an emotional roller coaster. I can definitely see where they're going with this, and I CANNOT wait for the upcoming movies.

I'm about to wipe a terabyte of HD movies because none of them even hold a candle to what I just watched.

    Christopher Nolan, what a guy.

Yes! I was impressed with the way they did this one. Thoughts on the new characters Catwomen/Bane??

    Cat woman? DAT ASS!

Bane was awesome, the way Nolan portrayed him, absolutely made me want to hate him, just as a viewer should. The twist at the end totally blew my mind. I suppose..... the whole movie blew my mind.

I definitely liked the movie....but notice I said liked and not loved. Action packed with an incredible climax and I definitely look forward for what is to come but I did have some problems with this one. First off it was too F****ing LONG!!! I really enjoy movies that tie everything together but this one seemed to drag it out and I found myself getting sick of watching Bruce Wayne and wanting to see more Batman. Loved Catwomen but really did not like Bane (mainly because it seemed his voice just didn't match the person acting). I guess I'm being too harsh but after the acting job of Heath Ledger in the last film I just felt disappointed. All in all it was a good movie and I would recommend taking time out of your weekend to see it. I hope I don't receive too hate for this post.

definitely a roller coaster ride. especially the last 5 minutes when they show that bruce is still alive, it just made you much more satisfied with the ending. though i would have loved to have seen Bane and Raz A'gul's daugher have a more graphic death since they really boiled my blood. Anne Hathaway was absolutely stunning, and Gordon Levitt did a fantastic job as well. Would love to see him play a proper Robin role, but i guess that wont happen. there were some things that bothered me about the movie, but all in all i really enjoyed it.

Was anyone deterred by the Colorado shooting to go to a screening?

Saw the movie last night, I loved it.
Just wondering how the batman got out of the bat when there was a nuclear explosion and they said that the bat has now auto pilot?? hmm
Anne Hawthaway....dat ass on the motorcycle, even my girlfriend got excited :O

I didn't feel it was too long. The acting in this one I would say was top notch again.

Liked but not loved. Definitely enjoyed the 2nd movie better.

Voices were hard to hear in IMAX, sound effects were wayyyyy too loud and Bane's masked mumbling ass didn't help.

Too those that are saying "i like where they are going with this" do you expect someone to pick up where Nolan's series has left off?

Warner brothers is planning on continuing without Nolan. Hence the ending with Blake in the cave.
