Yes your right about that I got tons of ideas but id like to see some two story plans to give me some better ideas or maybe talk with someone who could work with me to better understand some issues I'm having and draw me up a set of plans.

Where are you located?
I suggest reaching out to some local architects and having a look at their portfolio. Once you find someone who does stuff along your tastes, speak to them about what you're looking to do. Most importantly be upfront about your budget for the project. I can't tell you how many times potential clients come to us with a beautiful set of plans and then are crushed to find out the construction costs are double or triple what they had in mind to spend. Quite often we find they haven't discussed budget with their architect, or they hired an architect not familiar with local costs of construction (they vary greatly from one region to another.)

Yes I thought the same thing that it would be quick and easy but I guess they feel its not worth there time to mess with I called 4 different people and pretty much got the same answer? So id rather just try to find something close to what item looking for and go from there. If anyone knows of a good web site or could refer someone that would be great.

I can help with some plans. I have $7000 worth of CAD software rusting away.
what kind of garage are you wanting (working, storage, showcase etc.)
what do you want the second floor for? (lounge, office, storage etc.)
what kind of building envelope do you have to work with?
do you have the ability to have doors on both sides (drive through)

Well Im working with about 40 by 30 foot of room. Im going to use the bottom to work on hobby stuff and storage. The second floor I want a large game room couple arcade games pool table and a theater area on one side with a projector. I want it to match my house now as close as I can so it doesnt look out of place. Also this is going on my side yard so it could have acess to both sides that way I can drive in the back yard. Thanks for any help!
