Yes it is, I lived there for four years and planning on moving back next month. Cool place though in my opinion.

Take a look at Dubai in detail. Here's the 45 Gigapixel!! image from Gigapan. The special camera was mounted to a special computer controlled mount. It took:

"4,250 individual shots taken with a Canon 7D and the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L zoom at 400mm. Total shooting time circa 3 hours 30 minutes, in 37C heat"

All the shots were then pieced together to form this one panoramic picture, which allows you to zoom in on any point to an incredible level of zoom and detail. They found all sorts of neat things, like a Ferrari parked on something like the 120th floor of the Burj Dubai tower, or a nude sunbather in 37 Celsius heat.

Every house is the same in that pic above, or very similar.... Don't know if I could live there or not. To each his own though.
