New Ride. 2012 Mustang GT
I've been MIA for a while. Back in june I sold the BMW below.
2007 z4 M Coupe. Just not practical at all.

For this. 2012 5.0 Optioned exactly as the car in video i'm sure most of you have seen when it competes vs the M3. If not, here it is below. It's faster, handles better and gets better gas mileage than M coupe. However it's not as confidence inspiring nor does it turn as many heads.

I'll post up new pictures this spring. Basically car will look completely different. I've got Boss front, saleen grill, roush sides, gt500 rear and rtr wing sitting in garage for it. Also have suspension in works and a set of Forgestar CF5's being made for it as we speak.
The car went 12.52@110 with tires, intake and tune. Should run 12 flat at a faster track. But i've also got a little juice(150 shot) for the spring as well. It should run low 11's at my track and should dip some 10's at a fast track and good driving.Record to date

Congrats. Not trying to flame, but genuinely curious how you can say the Mustang handles better, but the MZ instills more confidence... ??

Because it does handle better? The new Mustang's are no joke. They have great handling, grip, accel, but like he said, they aren't head turners until you get into the Boss or Shelby territory. I think they are very under-appreciated. Congrats on the car my friend, very cool.
I was looking at getting a newer Mustang GT or 335i but I am going a different route and looking at picking up a G8 GT or GXP.2007 Mustang GT

As with any bmw, I'm sure you've driven, its just the general dynamics of the car. Accurate steering, the conception of little to no body roll and it just feels ultra planted but in real world it was a hand full and a very unpredictable rear in end in the Z believe it or not. (check topgear reviews of the mz4's, there are 2 of them). The mustang on the other hand feels like its going to flip with so much body roll and on stock suspension, it will actually hop quite a bit if you hit a bump going through a turn, doesn't feel as planted. Has a almost floating feel to it. Steering is a little light. I have the 2012 which has a sport mode for the steering so it's a little better than the '11 in that video above. But overall, the mustang just has more grip. Actually, it rotates better while turning. Almost gives a 4 wheel steering feel for some reason.

^^ Thanks for the explanation. I've seen the vids comparing the GT to the M3, so I'm not surprised by your impressions. We had a V6 rental in CA for a week earlier this year, and I was surprised with how it drove on CA 1. I've driven a GT for about 5 miles in city traffic and liked it as well, though obviously didn't really push the car at all.
Enjoy!'12 335iS - Euro Delivery Feb, 2012
