    Default The "Murdered out look

So I have a stock 2004 Mustang GT and am considering blacking out the headlights and taillights. Is that going to look stupid? I might just leave the wheels the grayish color. Don't really know where to go with this. All opinions are appreciated

Well to be honest it looks pretty sweet on mustangs, but arounf here its pretty common and i like to be unique.

you should be allright with just tinted lenses .. Just make sure you get it done by somone good .. That they do it right and not just cheap and quick . Or else a month down the road' will start lookin like crap . Your headlights I wouldnt goto dark as I remember when I had lights covers on my camaro headlights totally made it harder to see latenight where there isnt street lights like country roads n such

MURDERED is a little more black everything , wheels , trim , emblems and anything else that isnt black even the pony if there is one on there . Personally I would keep the rims the color they are if your only tinting your lights and not blacking everything out .. IMHO I dont think your rims would look to your liking all blacked out unless they were about 2 sizes bigger and your suspension was setup right . But thats just me with the ride in question , my current ride is all black , tinted windows , black rims with polish lips but their OEM bought it like that and if they were stock color would never have painted them but it is what it is now
. If your tint you lights with film if you dont like it you can always reverse by removing , if their done by paint I would think its safe to say its gonna take lot of acetone or thinner to remove and will most likely have to be refinished . But cant go wrong with tintin out the lights , Ive been thinkin about doing for the longest but my ride is 01 and my lights dont have flat surface so its basically spray them or leave them as is . Dont want to spray Oem benz taillights and not be able to reverse it .

Here's a pic of my old C6Z. I sprayed the taillights myself. To be on the safe side, you may want to pick up a set of used tails and experiment with them first. Good Luck !

    What i'd do in order

    1. Remove the horses off the side skirt (assuming your car has it)
    2. lower it
    3. paint wheels black
    3. tint tail lights
    4. wouldn't touch the headlights with tint. (for me being able to see at night is a major plus!)

I have the 40th anniversary badges on the side and I kind of like those. I do plan on lowering it just don't know how to yet. As for the headlights i already have projector headlights with HID's so even with the tint, seeing the road in front of me won't be a problem. And to stickittotheclutch, I would if I could afford it!

even with HIDs, tinting of the headlights will drastically reduce light output,

i only did a VERY light tint on my headlights, can barely tell they tinted and that seems like it cut the light output in half
