Default *** Assistance Needed *** Please

I have an 05 Cadillac STS. Yesterday morning I went to start my car. It has a push button start. When I push the button there is a single click from the engine compartment but the engine doesn't turn over. All of the electronics come on and the voltage meter on the dash reads between 12 and 12.5. I took the battery out today, to get it tested tomorrow. Any other ideas besides the battery? Also, I tried to jump it, but it did no good. The battery and the car were running strong until this point and there was never any hesitation when starting the car prior to this. The car has a half tank of gas and all other fluids are topped off. The spark plugs are less than a year old. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

if it clicks, maybe the starter solenoid too.

But I had this happen also in a chrysler 300. It ended up being a security issue with the key

The terminals and the cable are completely corrosion free. It almost looks brand new. Not even a hint of white or green on the copper connector.

I brought it to the dealer...

But it can be done on your own. You can google the programming codes for most cars. That way you can do it on your own when you loose a key

Looks like the battery isn't able to handle any kind of load. I am just going out to get a new battery. Found them for like 160 at autozone and 93 at Battery Plus. Anyone ever buy any batteries from Battery Plus?
