Default How much dough should I spend on a 69 Charger?

I'm hooked on a black Dodge Charger 69. I'm looking around for one in mint condition.

Not looking for ads, just in your mind; in what price range are these nowadays? What is a fair amount to pay for one?

    Cheers.

Numbers matching? What size motor? Auto or manual? These will make a huge difference.

They aren't cheap, but I'd say well worth it one of the more iconic muscle cars while still being rare to see on the street. You'll probably be looking at a pretty penny for any area. I remember looking for some years ago and for a piece of crap body was like $5-10k. Are you looking for a project to restore or a turn key car.

Recently the vintage car game has come down a lot. You can get a numbers matching, 3 speed, 440 for $30k. It's about disposable income and with a large majority of people suffering the market has come down a lot.

Like Dinoone said, the markets very low right now, specially for Mopars. They use to be the money makers, bringing in up to $350,000. I actually had a barn find this past weekend, when I went looking for some 60's Vettes and came across a couple chargers. The best thing to do would find final price on auction sales. I tried to on Barrett Jackon's website, but could only find upcoming auctions. I'll look a little harder and let you know if I come up with anything.

Here's a nice looking one, not all original but definitely a driver....
    Sold for 27k
    Non-Original 69' R/T

Clean, matching numbers with 383 and auto trans - 1 repaint - sold for $21,200

    Sold for $10,100 - needs love - not original, has 440 six-pack

Hopefully some of these help you out. I've recently become very interested in older cars, more specifically Vettes but this interests me. Subbed.

Oh, and fast and the furious fake superchargers/blower are not acceptable. But some sort of forced induction is!
