Anytime Knick, you'd be more than welcome.

The shop is in Marshfield...small town in northern Wisconsin. My dad is from there. The guys working on the car are old friends of my dads. The owner is apparently the best painter around. So we'll see. My dad trusts them. They really specialize in MG's, Austin Healy's and Triumphs. More British cars than anything. Here is a shot of the 57 with a Healy 3000 next to it. Oh yeah and there is a Charger in the background.

I'll find out the shop info and PM you.

The first ride you and your dad take in that car will be priceless.

Very cool build, at a high level of quality. I like.

For wheels, you could look at something two-piece with a nostalgic look.

These guys are local to me and they are very sharp. Very innovative
center cap options and top notch finish. You can specify widths and
offsets (for reference, I did 20x8.5 & 20x11 on the '56 I did).
I used to occasionally swap rim parts with Dave when he was at Budnik years ago.

I envy you! That is going to be a beauty and family treasure for sure. I found a shop here in San Diego (El Cajon) that quoted me $10k for my resto. It's taken 4 years to decide if I want to do it on my 70 Monte. I had it up for sale last month but I just can't do it!! LOL! Well... if the price is right I can. lol!

It's looking GREAT! Nothing like a mild Tri-Five to have some fun... And your Dad's on the right path with a simple 5-spoke...
SoCalSC4 has a great point w/Schott Wheels. The center cap design is incredible, and the wheels are top-notch... Spent some time talking w/Mike, and they're great guys... Definitely worth a look!

Keep us updated... I'm really digging this!

I don't have much more information then last time. I went up there a month ago and they had not done anything. We recently got the paint sample which is going to be a custom turquoise with the Lexus irredescent white roof. Interior is all done and they should start painting this week. As soon as I have some pics I'll post them here!

My dad took some horrible pictures of the underbody. He has no skills with a camera! They finally got something painted! We had the bottom of the car painted the same color as the car. That way you can actually see the black frame they spent so much time sanding and painting.

As more is done...I'll keep you guys updated.
