Saleen Announces 2011 as Last Production Year

The Saleen S302 was announced last year as a 2011 production car and that now maybe the last car to ever carry the badge “Saleen”. Revstone Industries, the parent company of Saleen Performance Vehicles, announced yesterday that it will no longer produce vehicles under the name Saleen.
They will still continue to produce aftermarket parts through the Saleen Speedlab brand and honour warranties for all existing vehicles in the future, but new vehicles won’t be created anymore.

It's interesting that Steve Saleen said anything considering he hasn't been with the company for almost 2 years. He left Saleen, and started SMS to work on imports.

His first few projects were from Japan. It looks like he came back to do domestics.

Its REVSTONE who is stopping the production of their saleen mustangs and going to just become an aftermarket supplier rather than auto manufacturer. REVSTONE (MJ Acquisitions) is who bought saleen inc's assets from hancock park 2 years ago.
after what happened 2 years ago to all the REAL Saleen employees. I hope MJ Acquisitions goes bankrupt and dissolves.

layed off over night. no pay. no severance. hundreds of people out of work. not cool. and not to ,ention HUNDREDS of vendors who never got payed. About 10million owed to them alone.
I was part of it and really dont feel like going into more detail. But I will say I hope Steve and his SMS crew gain and grow because MJ is folding!Last edited by AMS MIKE; 03-11-2011 at 05:33 PM.
