I'm 6'7" and fit alright into a stock 32. Its tight, but I'm used to being slightly cramped into smaller cars so it doesnt bother me.
if the car is heavily chopped or channeled its another story though.
A 5 window is a better option for tall guys though, you can build it to eliminate the package tray and move the seat back.
I did have a 27 Track T that I fit in, but it was like driving a go kart (part of the fun) with my knees sticking up nearly to the top of the windshield.
consider using a larger body roadster. The Dodge and Chrysler Roadsters are a good option. The are about 1/4 again bigger than the Ford and have a VERY gangster look to them.Last edited by Choptop; 03-11-2010 at 06:37 PM.

Cool cars, but please someone give me the info on why everyone loves the flathead so much?
IMO, it's a horrid design and played out beyond words. It was only ever popular back in the day because it was cheap lol.

welllllll... The Ford Flathead V8 was popular at different times for different reasons.
Pre-War the flathead V8 was popular because it was a major step up from the flat 4's that came in the previous Model A.
when hot rodding took off after WWII the Ford Flathead V8 was still the performance engine of the day. Not until the OHV SBC came along. (indeed there were other engines that rodders used, but I'm talking the majority of the hot rodding world).
Even then lots of racing organizations let the flatheads run against the OHV engines with power adders like alcohol or nitro.
LOTS of info on how to build a really hot flathead resulted. Big base of knowledge. That has alot of attraction as well.
the flathead didnt get "cheap" until a pretty steady supply of OVH V8's became avail cheaply (read, junk yards) to hot rodders.
the affection for the flathead is an affection for the traditional way of hot rodding. Are there engines you can squeeze more power out of? Sure. Are there engines with fewer 'problems'? Sure.
But nothing will give you the feel, sound or power delivery of a Ford Flathead V8.Last edited by Choptop; 03-12-2010 at 07:04 AM.
