    Default 1946 Jeep CJ2a project?

Been toying with the idea of restoring one. I think it would be a badass little grocery getter. Anyone on here every owned one that could tell me what to look for when buying?

That one is very clean and they command a hefty little price restored. I would say look for all of the same things as a normal car. The fewer the issues, the less cost to you. I'm no longer too familiar with the models and their options. Here's one of my fav pics

Nah..no thread jack. We are just inspiring the man. Given him ideas, modify or not to modify, that is the question. Good Vids. Here is a pic of a similar type of vehicles I was into and am thinking of getting back into.

The CJ2a was the first model produced for the public. I know what year/model I want but I'm just not sure what problems to look for when shopping for one. Would be fun to build one up from scratch but i think getting something that is 75% restored would be make more economical sense.

I think its a great project car in large part due to its simplicity. Whenever dealing with vehicles of that age I find metal deterioration ie: rust to be the biggest and most dangerous hazard. 75% is easier to restore but you can also get better deals on less restored vehicles but then of course more work. The more work you can do yourself the better.
