67/68 Shelby Convertible. Repro Parts and pieces are available on the open market to build a clone from a 67-68 Convertible which leaves only two questions.... How fast do you want to go? How much money do you want to spend?Last edited by Sean1; 09-27-2010 at 12:54 PM.

This thread needed a bump. Watched the original and now the Remake for the 100th. That Mustang is just brilliant.

I just had a friend contact me about a 69 Fastback Shelby GT 500 that his friend's father had sitting in a garage for 10 years and now needs to sell. Probably #3 condition- 70% original- a few speed parts installed but has most of the original parts. Some manner of repaint work done at some point in its life. Value landing around $65-$85k from most of the people I've talked to that deal with vintage Shelbys. Add a few $$ for a convertible.

i have a buddy who has a 65.5 mustang and its that yellow color...he is wanting to restore it but wants to change it to blue or black...ive told him many times that i think the best thing for the resale value is to keep it the original color...any truth to that??/

all depends on the buyer and the quality of the work. If it a rare vehicle-the more original the better. If it is a coupe it probably doesn't matter as there isn't a lot of demand.
Obviously a well done repaint is going to carry more value than an earl scheib repaint...[FONT="Book
