In theory, you can make your own but you have to have some knowledge on what went into one like Knicks or Revs. The problem is, having pros do it is a lot easier and would eventually end up better than if you tried it yourself, unless you already have a lot of experience with resto-mods.
I think the real trick are the body panel parts; getting them is relatively easy; getting them lined up plumb and square... that's where the talent comes in.
IMO, an Eleanor copy is one of those things you either go big or go home. Just me after seeing Knicks up close.
PS: even with knicks, there were a few minor details (electrical and closing up the cabin better from exhaust fumes) that they could have done to clean things up but I guess that's why they're no longer in business.Last edited by 289FIA_Cobra; 06-24-2009 at 02:07 AM.
