Default Camaro vs. Mustang, V6 vs. V8?

I will be graduating from my doctorate program soon and am looking for a new daily driver in the future. I currently daily an Audi a4 with a bunch of mods. I love it but worry about the maintenance costs as it crosses 70k+ miles.

Seeing that I could purchase a new Camaro or Mustang for only $25K with 5 year warranty is great! But they would only come with a v6. Should I spend the extra cash for the v8 or buy a 2 year old used car with the V8? I am also planning on buying a sunday roadster soon after so performance is not that important.

My family has had multiple Tahoes and Surburbans and all have been bulletproof.

Anyone daily drive their Camaro or Mustang? Which one should I go with?

    Thanks!

    I'd definitely go with a V8 that's a couple years old over a new V6. And Mustang>Camaro.

I've got a V8 Mustang Gt and highly recommend... but, these cars hold their value. It might be a little challenging finding what you want at the price point you're aiming for.. also, +1 on the Mustang.

I like and respect the Camaro, but I can't stand the visibility being over 6 feet tall.

Althought I love the Camaro and owned the SS, I would say go Mustang. That new Camaro is not all it's cracked up to be unless it's the ZL1 or something of that nature.
